This bracelet sits cool on the wrist. The amethyst holds a soft, dusky purple — not the bright violet of dyed stones, but the colour of a room ten minutes after the lamp goes off. The shape is freeform — its own outline, never rounded down — because the act of putting yourself down at the end of a day is rarely tidy. Wear it on the evenings you choose to come back to yourself, gently — the way you would set down something fragile and loved.

The stone. In Greek tradition, amethyst — from amethystos, meaning "not drunk" — was held as a stone of clarity at the end of the day, of being able to set things down. Mined from the Rio Grande do Sul deposits in Brazil, where the volcanic basalt produces the soft, smoky purples sought after for fine jewellery — never the loud violets of dyed or heat-treated stones. Each stone in a Seren bracelet is selected by hand for that quiet, dusky depth.

Craft & spec. Each amethyst is polished as a freeform — its own shape, with only impurities and sharp edges removed. The accent beads between are also freeform white quartz, hand-selected for high clarity and transparency, never moulded into uniform rounds. Strung on a six-layer 18K-gold-plated brass chain — engineered to outwear standard 1- to 3-layer plating. Adjustable cord, 6 to 7.5 inches. Amethyst is the traditional birthstone of February.
