The things you may be wondering.

About the pieces_

The materials, the size, the why.

Are the stones real?

Yes, always. Every Seren bracelet uses natural crystal — moonstone from Sri Lanka, aquamarine from Mozambique, rose quartz from Madagascar, and others from Brazil and Mali. We do not use lab-grown or synthetic stones. If a stone would need to be synthetic to hit a price point, we would rather not make that piece.

Why does my piece look slightly different from the product photo?

Because no two natural stones are the same. The photos on our site are representative, not definitive. Your bracelet will have its own exact pattern of colour, inclusion, and shape. That is not a defect — it is the point.

Is the gold real?

Yes. For Seren, we use 18K gold at 0.18 microns, as one layer in a six-layer engineered stack totalling about 10 microns over a brass base. For Elysian, we use vermeil — 3.0 microns of 18K gold over silver. The pendant body is 950 Britannia silver, the purity used in Fabergé's most celebrated enamelled pieces. The chain is 925 sterling silver. Our vermeil is twenty percent thicker than the US FTC minimum of 2.5 microns. The full story is on our Craftsmanship page.

What's the difference between Seren and Elysian?

Two kinds of storytelling. Seren is worn on the wrist — an inward piece, close to the pulse, the story you tell yourself when no one is asking. Elysian is worn at the chest on a chain — an outward piece, a symbol you chose to carry, visible from across a room. Most people eventually own one of each.

Are the pieces hypoallergenic?

Elysian vermeil pieces are hypoallergenic for most people, because the gold sits directly over sterling silver rather than a mixed-metal base. Seren uses a brass base, which most people wear without issue but which can occasionally cause a reaction for highly sensitive skin. If you are unsure, start with an Elysian vermeil piece or write to us first.

How do I know my size?

Seren bracelets are one size — they use an adjustable pull-cord that extends from wrist-fit to a maximum of 19 cm (7.5 inches). Elysian pendants come on an 18-inch chain. If you need a different chain length, write to us before ordering.

Why does Elysian take longer than Seren to ship?

Because Seren is made from finished stones we keep on hand, and Elysian is not. Every Elysian pendant is made to order — painted and fired one piece at a time, with each layer of colour set before the next is applied. Seren ships in 7 to 10 business days. Elysian ships in 4 to 6 weeks. We will not rush this.

Caring for your piece_

Daily wear, daily care.

Can I shower or swim with my piece?

No. Water, chlorine, and salt are the fastest ways to wear through gold plating. Take your piece off before showers, baths, swimming, and any contact with soap or shampoo. A dry wipe after normal-day wear is enough.

What about lotion, perfume, and sunscreen?

Put your piece on after they have been applied and absorbed. The oils and alcohols in these products can dull both the plating and the enamel surface. The "last on, first off" rule is worth remembering.

Can I sleep in it?

Better not to. Sleeping in a chain or bracelet puts repeated micro-stress on joints and catches that accelerate wear. We would rather you put the piece back in its pouch for eight hours than replace a broken clasp in year two.

What happens if the plating fades?

Plating is a finish, not a material. On Seren, our six-layer 10-micron stack is engineered to last — but daily wear over years will eventually soften it. When that happens, Our Care Service restores the plating to first-day finish, starting at $30.

Will the pull-cord on Seren stretch out?

Over time, yes. Adjustable cords are designed to be replaceable. If yours has stretched past usable, write to us — cord replacement is part of Our Care Service at $30 for Seren.

Does the crystal wear too?

A little, yes. Natural crystal surfaces soften slightly over years of contact with skin and fabric. We find that softening is part of what makes a long-worn piece feel like yours, and Our Care Service leaves the stone as it is while restoring the metal around it.

How should I store my piece when I'm not wearing it?

Keep it in its original pouch or a soft-lined jewellery box, separated from other jewellery. Harder stones or metal clasps from other pieces can scratch the enamel surface of an Elysian pendant or chip the stone on a Seren bracelet. If you travel with it, the pouch alone is fine.

Can I use jewellery cleaning solutions on my Peace Piece?

No. Commercial jewellery cleaning solutions contain chemicals that can dull painted enamel, damage the protective coating on Seren plating, and compromise the 18K gold finish on Elysian vermeil. For regular care, a soft cloth is enough. For anything deeper, write to us — we would rather restore the piece ourselves than see it damaged by a cleaner that wasn't designed for it.

Is an ultrasonic cleaner safe for enamel?

No. Ultrasonic cleaners use high-frequency vibration that can crack the fired mineral layer of painted enamel and loosen natural crystal settings. Even the mildest ultrasonic setting is too aggressive for Peace Piece pieces. If your piece needs deeper cleaning, Our Care Service covers that safely.

Ordering & shipping_

Getting it to you.

How much is shipping?

Free inside the US on orders of $75 or more. Flat $6 on orders under $75. We do not currently ship internationally.

How long does delivery take?

It depends on the line. Seren bracelets ship in 7 to 10 business days — they are hand-strung from finished stones. Elysian pendants ship in 4 to 6 weeks — each piece is made to order, painted and fired one layer at a time. Remote areas can add a few days on either side. We ship USPS with tracking included.

Do you offer rush or expedited shipping?

Not as a checkout option. If you have a genuine deadline, email us at hello@peacepieceshop.com before placing the order and we will see what we can do.

I need to change my shipping address — what do I do?

Email us within two hours of placing the order. If we have not packed it yet, we can change it at no cost. Once packed or shipped, we cannot recall the package, but we can re-ship if USPS returns it to us.

My tracking hasn't moved in a few days — is that normal?

Yes, sometimes. USPS tracking can be slow for the first 24-48 hours, and occasionally a package sits in transit for a couple of days between scans. If it has not moved in four business days, write to us.

Returns & exchanges_

If it isn't quite right.

What is your return policy?

Thirty days to return for a full refund. Sixty days to exchange for any other piece. Free return shipping inside the US. The full details — including what counts as "worn" — are on our Returns page.

What if I wore it once?

Even a single full day of wear often leaves marks — skin oil on enamel, a trace of scent on the chain, small friction marks. We check every return carefully. If you are unsure whether your piece counts as worn or tried-on, email us before sending it back — we would rather tell you up front than decline a return on arrival. And if we do end up declining, we always include photos of what we found, and you have seven days to reply if you think we got it wrong.

How do I start a return?

Email hello@peacepieceshop.com with your order number. We send a prepaid return label by the next business day.

Our 2-year Promise_

What we cover, what we don't.

What does the 2-year Promise cover?

Manufacturing issues — failed solder joints, enamel that splits without impact, clasps or cords that stop working from normal use. The full list of what is and is not covered is on the Our Promise page.

What if I drop my Elysian pendant and the enamel cracks?

High-fire painted enamel is one of the most permanent surfaces in jewellery under normal wear — but it is brittle, and impact damage cannot be reversed. This kind of damage is not covered by Our Promise. That said, we still want to help where we can: email us with photos and we will honestly tell you whether a case-by-case repair is possible and what it would cost. In many cases, severe enamel damage costs close to the price of a new piece, because the layers have to be applied from the start again. We will say so before you commit to anything.

What if something goes wrong after two years?

The Promise ends at two years, but we still care about the piece. Our Care Service restores the metal (re-plating, new cord, chain replacement) starting at $30 for Seren and $100 for Elysian, with shipping included both ways. For severe damage at any age, the case-by-case option applies.

Our Care Service_

Bringing the metal back.

What does Our Care Service do?

We restore the metal — re-plate the chain or bracelet, replace cords, refresh clasps. What we intentionally don't do is polish crystals or re-paint enamel. Painted enamel does not fade on its own; natural stones soften gently over years of wear, and we find that softening is part of what makes a long-worn piece feel like yours. Care Service leaves those alone.

How much does it cost?

Seren bracelets from $30. Elysian pendants from $100. Shipping is included both ways. More extensive work (new chain, new cord) is quoted before we begin.

How long does it take?

Fifteen to twenty business days from the day your piece arrives in our workshop. The plating process is the same six layers as the original, and none of them are rushed.

Can you fix a piece with serious damage — a dropped Elysian, a broken stone?

Sometimes. This does not go through Care Service — we handle it as a case-by-case quote. Email us with photos and we will tell you honestly within two business days whether the piece can be repaired, and if so, what it would cost. For severe enamel damage, the repair cost is often close to the price of a new piece. We will say so clearly before you commit, and if the kindest answer is to let the piece rest, we will say that too.

About Peace Piece_

The brand behind the pieces.

What is Peace Piece?

A small brand making hand-made pieces that carry stories. Every piece is one of a kind — because every stone, every brushstroke, every firing, and every person who wears it is one of a kind. We do not make pieces for everyone. We make them for someone.

Who makes the pieces?

A small team of artisans. Every Seren bracelet is hand-polished and hand-strung by a single maker, start to finish. Every Elysian pendant is painted by a single enamel artist — painted enamel, fired in layers in a real kiln at roughly 800 degrees Celsius. No decals, no prints, no shortcuts.

Why don't you show faces in your photos?

Because our pieces are not about being seen by someone else — they are about what you carry. Our photography focuses on the piece, the hand, the wrist, the collarbone — the places the pieces actually live.

Do you work with stockists or wholesale partners?

We are carefully expanding into wholesale and select retail partnerships in 2026. If you run a store you think would suit the brand, write to hello@peacepieceshop.com with a bit about your store.

Every piece, a story. Every story, a piece.
