Refund policy

Every piece we make is designed and painted for one person, so our refund policy follows the stages of a commission rather than a fixed return window.

WITHIN 24 HOURS OF ORDERING — full refund, no questions asked. Nothing has been started.

AFTER YOU HAVE SEEN YOUR DESIGN, BEFORE YOU APPROVE IT — 80% refund. The remaining 20% covers the painter's time already spent on your piece.

AFTER YOU APPROVE YOUR DESIGN — the commission moves to carving and the kiln, and it can no longer be refunded. Your approval is the point where the shape is locked and materials are committed. We will always tell you clearly, at the moment of approval, that this is what your approval means.

SOLID 18K GOLD COMMISSIONS — the $150 design fee is refundable in full within 24 hours, and is otherwise non-refundable once design work has begun. It is always credited in full toward your piece.

IF SOMETHING IS WRONG WITH YOUR PIECE — if it arrives damaged, or differs from the finished photographs you approved, write to us at hello@peacepieceshop.com within 7 days of delivery with photos. We will make it right: a repair, a repaint, or a refund, at no cost to you.

Because each piece is made to order, we do not accept returns for change of mind after a piece has shipped.

Nothing in this policy affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

FOR CUSTOMERS IN THE EU - because every piece is made to order and personalized to your specifications, commissions fall under the exemption for personalized goods in Article 16(c) of EU Directive 2011/83/EU and are exempt from the 14-day right of withdrawal. The staged policy above applies instead.
