Thirty days to return. Sixty days to exchange.
We want the piece that found you to be the right one. If it is not, here is exactly how both of us handle that — plainly, with no surprises at either end.
The windows_
Two timeframes, both straightforward.
For a full refund to the original payment method: thirty days from the day your order arrives.
For a free exchange to any other piece in the shop: sixty days from the day your order arrives. The price difference is refunded or charged at our standard rate, whichever applies.
After sixty days, we can no longer accept a return or exchange. If your piece has an issue we caused, that is covered separately under Our Promise.
All return shipping is free inside the United States.
The conditions_
Two requirements, both simple.
To be eligible for refund or exchange, the piece must meet both of these:
- Unworn. No visible contact with skin, skincare, perfume, or fabric. See the next section for how we draw that line.
- In its original packaging. The pouch and the outer box, both intact.
Any piece that does not meet these conditions will be returned to you unaltered. We do not issue partial refunds for partial conditions.
Worn vs tried on_
We know the difference. So should you.
We want you to know it too, so there are no surprises later.
Trying on is fine.
- Putting the piece on in front of a mirror.
- Wearing it around the house for an hour.
- Taking a photo in it.
- Breaking the box seal to look at the piece in real life.
None of these show up on the piece, and none of them affect your return.
Wearing counts.
- Scent on the chain.
- Skin oil on the enamel.
- Marks from where it caught on fabric.
- Fine friction traces on the plating.
Any of these are visible under our loupe during inspection.
If you are unsure whether something you already did counts, email us at hello@peacepieceshop.com before you send the piece back. We would rather tell you upfront than refuse the return on arrival.
In the gentlest possible way: when there's a difference of opinion, the call is ours to make — but we make it carefully, and we are honest about why.
The process_
Four steps, with timing for each.
- Email hello@peacepieceshop.com within your window with your order number and whether you would like a refund or an exchange.
- We send a prepaid return label by the next business day. Pack the piece in its original packaging and drop it at any shipping location.
- Once we receive it — usually three to five business days — we inspect the piece against the conditions above, by eye and under a ten-times loupe. Every return is checked by our artisan, not a scanner.

If the piece passes inspection: we refund to
your original payment method or ship your new piece within
five business days. You will receive a confirmation email.
If the piece does not pass: within twenty-four hours of inspection, we send you an email with photos showing exactly what we found. You then have seven days to reply if you believe we got it wrong — include any counter-evidence you have (unboxing photos or video, timestamps). We review once more and issue a final decision. Decisions at this second stage are final, and we tend toward the customer's favour when the counter-evidence is credible.
We cover return shipping inside the United States. Outside the US, we do not yet ship.
If it arrived damaged_
This is on us.
If your piece arrives with an issue we caused — a broken clasp, chipped enamel, anything that was not right when it left us — email hello@peacepieceshop.com within seven days of delivery with three or four clear photos.
We will replace the piece at no cost to you. The usual return process does not apply here. This is on us, and we do not ask you to send anything back.
If the issue is shipping-related damage (the package itself looks crushed, pouch torn inside), include a photo of the outer packaging as well. This helps us file a claim with the carrier where applicable.
Not eligible_
What we cannot accept back.
We cannot accept a return or exchange for:
- Pieces that have been worn, as defined above.
- Pieces returned without original packaging (pouch and outer box must both be included).
- Pieces returned more than thirty days after delivery for a refund, or sixty days for an exchange.
- The Companion Gift portion of an order. The main piece can still be returned or exchanged; the gift stays with you either way.
- Custom or engraved pieces. We do not currently offer these, but if we ever do, they will be made final at checkout.
These limits exist because we inspect every piece by hand before it leaves us, and every returned piece by hand before it re-enters our inventory. Accepting worn pieces or pieces without packaging would compromise the condition of the pieces we send to the next customer.
